Weekend lunch buffet

An all-you-can-eat sushi lunch in Covent Garden

Akatuki runs an all-you-can-eat sushi and Japanese lunch buffet at weekends, from Friday to Sunday between midday and 3:30pm. It is not a self-service counter: every round is cooked to order and brought to the table, so the sushi arrives freshly made and the steak arrives hot.

A Sunday lunch with a difference: all-you-can-eat sushi, Friday to Sunday, from £48

Three packages start at £48 per person. Each one opens with a sashimi platter of lobster tail, marinated scallops and bluefin tuna, then unlimited rounds of sushi rolls, seafood, salads, mains and dessert. The £68 and £88 packages add a premium main course such as A5 Wagyu hotpot or foie gras donburi.

The restaurant is on Great Queen Street, four minutes from Holborn and five from Covent Garden Underground. The last buffet booking of the day is taken at 3:30pm and weekends fill up, so it is worth reserving ahead.
